Water is an essential ingredient for a healthy life.  Drinking water is just as important as eating the  right food. Approximately 75% of our body is made of water and it performs many essential functions such as regulating temperature and the removal of waste products. Water is fat free, has no calories, no caffeine, and  no artificial colours or flavours- just 100% natural.  Water leaves you looking and feeling good. Water can help you stay fit and healthy, maintain a balanced weight and perform better at sports  or exercise.

How much Water?

The amount of water you should drink per day depends on your age and physical activity, but generally the advice is to drink 6-8 glasses per day. On warm days or when undertaking exercise ensure you increase you water intake to suit the activity.

Dehydration

In a normal day, the human body can lose up to 4 litres of water through perspiration.  As 75% of the body is composed of water, it’s vitally important that we all keep ourselves topped up in order to prevent dehydration. Did you know if you’re thirsty you are already dehydrated!?

Some other signs of dehydration include: dizziness, headaches, tiredness, dry mouth and a lack of concentration
