Essential Watermains Improvement Work Gets Underway in Dunmurry & Lisburn

NI Water is currently engaged in an ongoing process of improving and upgrading the water supply infrastructure throughout Northern Ireland. As part of this programme of work, approximately £1.5 million will be invested to improve the watermains in the Dunmurry and Lisburn area. This investment is good news, as the upgraded water mains will improve the quality, reliability and security of the local water supply, while reducing leakage and improving pressure in the area.

The programme of work will get underway in December 2014 and will continue until Summer 2015. Work will get underway in the Killeaton Gardens and Killeaton Crescent area of Dunmurry on the 8th December 2014, and work will move on to the Ballygowan Road area of Hillsborough in January 2015, followed by work in the Edentrillick Road /Nettlehill Road area of Lisburn in March 2015.

As with all work of this nature, some delays may be expected and parking may be restricted in certain areas. However, signage and traffic management will be in place throughout the scheme.
