Sewer Improvement Scheme Underway on Gransha Road, Bangor

28 July 2014 16:50

NI Water is currently engaged in an ongoing programme of work to improve the sewerage infrastructure, bathing water quality and key pumping stations in the Bangor area.

As part of this ongoing programme of improvements, essential sewer improvement work is currently underway on the Gransha Road, Bangor to remove a large obstruction from the existing sewer and to construct a chamber that will greatly improve water quality in the Ward Park Stream. We anticipate that this section of work will be completed by the end of August 2014.

NI Water will, in co-operation with the Department for Regional Development, do everything possible to keep any disruption to a minimum, and are completing this section of work on the Gransha Road over the school holiday period, when the roads are less congested. We will also work with Translink to ensure that public transport services function with minimum disruption. Traffic management will be in place, but two-way traffic will be operational at all times.

NI Water and our contractor Deane Public Works would like to thank the public in advance for any inconvenience caused and assure you that we will do everything that we can to reduce disruption in the area. Customer queries should be directed to Waterline: 08457 440088. Please quote “Deane Public Works, Gransha Road Sewer Improvement Work”.
