Walk for Water- so others don’t have to
30 August 2013 11:30
NI Water and WaterAid have once again joined forces to create a fantastic charity walking event; the ‘Three Bridges Challenge’ on Saturday 14 September in Derry/Londonderry. Starting at 10:30am at Ebrington Square the money raised from the walk will go a long way in helping WaterAid bring safe water and sanitation to some of the poorest communities across the world.WaterAid Volunteer Anna Marshall explains:
“We are encouraging walking enthusiasts from across the country to join us for the annual WaterAid walk on Saturday 14 September 2013.
“This year we are delighted to host the event in the City of Culture Derry/Londonderry with the walks taking in three of the magnificent bridges crossing the River Foyle.
“We have walks to suit all abilities, from a three mile family stroll to a more adventurous eight mile trail.
“Women in the developing world often have to walk hours for water- which is an exhausting task, so we are calling on our supporters to “Walk for Water-so others don’t have to””.
