Pipelaying Culmore Road, Derry/Londonderry

One lane of Culmore Road between Talbot Park and Culmore Road Roundabout in Derry/Londonderry will be closed continuously from Monday 7th April as our appointed contractor CivCo works to install essential new wastewater infrastructure.
The adjacent cycle lane will also be closed for safety reasons for the duration of work.
The lane closure will be in place for approximately 7 weeks. CivCo will work longer hours where feasible in a bid to complete the work in the shortest possible timeframe.
For the first 3 weeks of pipelaying the left turn out of Greenhaw Road onto Culmore Road will also need to be closed.
Diversion routes for motorists and cyclists will be signposted and access to the bus service at St. Peter’s Church will be maintained.
We appreciate that this essential work to upgrade the wastewater network and provide environmental improvements can be disruptive and we thank the public for their patience. Every effort will be made to complete the work as quickly as possible.
