NI Water statement - Storm Éowyn impact on water and wastewater assets
24 January 2025 18:55
Several NI Water assets across Northern Ireland have been impacted by the damage created by Storm Éowyn.
Our major incident team has been tracking the situation since 7:30am, identifying which sites were impacted even while it was too dangerous to physically attend sites. This means we have been able to prioritise our most vulnerable sites and mobilise our resources quickly once the storm passed.
Given the scale of the disruption repairs may take a little time to complete; with some dependant on power supply being restored. During this period, some customers may lose their water supply or experience low water pressure.
We are also informing our customers that there may be some disruption to normal services i.e. it may take us longer to respond to blocked sewers, etc.
To stay updated and reach us, customers have several options.
