Article 161 Agreement: New Wastewater Pumping Station Specification

From Monday 1st January 2025, the Wastewater Pumping Station Specification has been updated and is available at Article 161 Agreement. Please be advised the use of a Pumping Station will only be considered if no practical gravity solution is applicable.
If there is no gravity solution and a WwPS is required to serve your site you are advised to check out our web page prior to submitting your Article 161 application to ensure that you are designing your WwPS to the current specification. Non adherence to the specification may result in the delay or refusal of your application.
If you have an Article 161 application with NIW that is currently under consideration and incorporates a WwPS, and it is not authorised by 1st September 2025 you may be required to bring the design up to the current specification at your expense.
