 | NI Water News

After a successful, yearlong public procurement competition, NI Water has announced the award of a Professional Services Framework, valued up to £800m, which will support the planning and delivery of its Capital Works Programme, including the sustainable delivery of key water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Northern Ireland. The framework will run for an initial four-year term, with options to extend to 2032 and the spend can flex up and down, depending on the capital investment budget available for that period.

A wide range of professional services will be provided by local companies appointed to the framework, including project management, network modelling, digital innovation and plans to strengthen climate resilience, while reducing carbon emissions and improving the overall efficiency of capital delivery.

Tzvetelina Bogoina, NI Water’s Director of Infrastructure Delivery, said:

“We are delighted to announce the award of this framework, which will support the delivery of numerous major outputs within the Capital Delivery Business Plan, enhancing the capabilities of both local and national companies.

“This framework provides further resilience for NI Water to provide our customers with the best sustainable and environmental outcomes for water and wastewater services. It is the embodiment of our commitment to driving integration, collaboration and continuous improvement across all facets of our operations.

“It is a welcome boost for the local economy and will provide us with access to some of the best innovative providers within the local Construction Supply Chain and we look forward to working with all of our partners on the framework to deliver a sustainable, world-class service to our customers.”
