NI Water Hosts Site Visit to Warrenpoint Wastewater Treatment Works

NI Water was delighted to welcome South Down MP, Chris Hazzard and Sinéad Ennis MLA to Warrenpoint Wastewater Treatment Works where an £8m upgrade has recently been completed.

The site previously benefitted from an INTERREG investment of £7m under the Shared Waters Enhancement & Loughs Legacy (SWELL) Project.

The state-of-the-art facility – built by GEDA Construction and Water Solutions Ireland, with technical and project management support from McAdam - has three levels of treatment to ensure a high standard of discharge to Carlingford Lough.
