InterTradeIreland and NI Water are delighted to announce registration is now open for the online ‘Meet the Buyer’ Event on Wednesday 24 March 8.30am – 2.30pm. The theme of this year’s event is Connecting with the Supply Chain in an evolving world.
With over £100million pounds worth of NI Water contracts due to be tendered in 2021, this event is an opportunity for businesses to make game-changing connections with NI Water Category and Contract managers and their Tier-1 Suppliers. Firms will also have the chance to learn more about InterTradeIreland’s Go-2-Tender programme which helps companies bid successfully for public sector tender contracts.
The event is free and easy to book by going online to https://intertradeireland.com/sales-growth/tender-successfully/supplier-engagement-events
As places include a one to one session with an NI Water buyer, they will be limited and early registration is essential.
Grant Gilmore, Operations Manager, InterTradeIreland Tendering Team says,
“Preparation is the key to submitting a great tender response. Companies need to be aware of the opportunity, make sure it’s accessible and have the capability to submit a competitive response. InterTradeIreland’s Meet the Buyer events are all about giving SMEs access to key personnel and staff who commission and procure goods and services on behalf of the public sector. InterTradeIreland has been proud to partner with NI Water on a number of highly successful Meet the Buyer events which ensure that companies get unprecedented access to NI Water buyers and to key Tier 1 suppliers to find out about upcoming opportunities.
“Companies can then use InterTradeIreland’s Go-2-Tender programme which builds capability through practical workshops and then the one to one mentoring packages embed the knowledge and confidence to submit quality bids.”
Ronan Larkin, Director of Finance and Regulation at NI Water comments,
“At a time of unprecedented economic uncertainty, NI Water, more than ever has a key role to play in supporting business sustainability in Northern Ireland. NI Water will embark shortly on an ambitious 6 year business plan which will require a combined investment of operational and capital programmes of over £3 billion with our supply chain. Building collaborative strong partnerships with our supply chain is crucial to our success and this event offers us a fantastic opportunity to do just that.
“We are delighted to partner once again with InterTradeIreland, where together we are offering the supply chain a platform to engage and connect with leading procurement and contract management specialists along with tech, energy and data experts.”
New this year is a panel discussion with NI Water’s Energy team which will be chaired by the event host, former BBC NI journalist, Sarah Travers.
