Run of Water, Divis Street & Albert Street Belfast

NI Water is aware of a defect on a 24” watermain at the junction of Divis Street / Albert Street, Belfast. The site is currently being inspected on a daily basis and flows are being continuously monitored through our telemetry systems. The situation on-site is presently stable with the leaking water escaping to the local drainage system. A number of operational exercises and tests have been completed over the last few days to ensure that we minimise the impact upon customers when the repair is actually progressed. At this stage the intention is to undertake the repair after the Christmas holidays.
