Sewer Rehabilitation Work – Park Avenue Newcastle, Car Park

NI Water will be commencing work on a sewer repair on the entrance road to a Council Car Park located at Park Avenue Newcastle.

This repair is part of the ongoing NI Sewer Rehabilitation Project in the Newcastle Area.

Due to the location of the sewer and the depth of excavation it is necessary to close the access road to the car park to carry out this work. This is for the safety of the public, road users and construction workers.

The work will commence on 17th October and we anticipate will take 5 days to complete. During this time our contractor will endeavour to provide access to the car park outside of working hours i.e.: prior to 8am and after 5pm to facilitate staff parking.

Due to poor ground conditions and the location of existing services the work at the entrance to the car park at Park Avenue, Newcastle is taking longer than anticipated. We now expect the work to be completed by Monday evening (24th October). 

NI Water along with our appointed contractor Graham Construction apologise for any disruption or inconvenience caused and assure you we will endeavour to complete this essential works as soon as practically possible.
