All 24 Beaches Pass the Test

NI Water has today welcomed the news that more Blue Flags and Seaside Awards for beaches, seasides and Marinas have been achieved than ever before with all beaches tested receiving either excellent or good compliance.

This news is testament to NI Water’s on-going commitment and investment in its sewerage infrastructure. The high number of awards this year reflects the excellent water quality recorded at our bathing waters last year.

We all have a role to play, however, and it is important that each and every one of us remembers to use our sewers responsibly; items such as baby wipes and cotton buds regularly make their way through the sewage system causing blockages and end up on our beaches. The advice is simple, bin it, don’t flush it!
