Watermains upgrade to commence in Cushendall and Cushendun

NI Water is pleased to announce that work will commence this month on our ongoing water mains improvement programme in the Moyle Council area. This work represents an investment of approximately £1 million in the area, and will involve improving and upgrading the water supply infrastructure between Cushendall and Cushendun. The work will get underway this month and will continue until Spring 2012. With winter fast approaching, this work is good news for the area as the upgraded water mains will improve the reliability and flexibility of water supply, drinking water quality and will also help reduce leakage.

This work will be completed in sections and traffic management including signage will be in place throughout this work. Further updates will be available once the scheme gets underway.

NI Water and our contractor Farrans Construction will carry out letter drops in affected areas to advise residents of this work. We would like to thank the public in advance for their co-operation and patience during this essential improvement work. There may be some disruption and delays in the area at peak times during this work, but we would like to assure customers that every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum.
