Drinking Water Inspectorate advice on levels of radioactivity

Following explosions and fires at the Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan as a result of the earthquake on 11th March 2011, there has been a release of radioactivity, some of which has since been detected in the UK.The attached link to the Health Protection Agency's website answers some questions in relation to safety of drinking water.
Drinking water supplies in the UK are considered safe following the incident. The Drinking Water Inspectorate will continue to monitor the situation.
