Sewer Investigation Work To Begin in Lone Moor Road Area

NI Water will be carrying out investigative work from the 14th March-1st April 2011 in the Lone Moor Road area. This is part of an ongoing sewer improvement programme in L’Derry, and is in advance of a proposed storm sewer extension in the Bligh’s Lane and Lone Moor Road area.

As with all work of this nature, there will be an element of disruption and traffic diversions will be in place on Bligh’s Lane and Lone Moor Road during this period.

This work is part of a wider improvement programme for the sewerage infrastructure within the city. The work will reduce the risk of out of sewer flooding and will meet the city’s existing and future development needs.

NI Water and its contractor, Glover Site Investigations Ltd, would like to thank the public in advance for their patience, and assure them that we will do everything we can to complete the work as quickly as possible. There may be an element of traffic disruption, however, diversions will be clearly signposted.
