'Water' Treat for Foreglen as NI Water Invest almost £1m !

NI Water is pleased to announce the start of work on a £1 million contract to construct a new Wastewater Treatment Works at Foreglen, Limavady.Neil Brady Project Manager NI Water, said:
“We are delighted to report that work has now started on this £1 million investment to construct a new Wastewater Treatment Works for the Foreglen area. This project will deliver significant improvements to wastewater services in the area and will increase capacity, ensuring that the Works complies with new NIEA and EU regulations.”
The Mayor of Limavady Cllr Michael Carten said:
“I welcome this investment for the local area which will ensure that residential growth and development can be met well into the 21st century”
Work is now underway on the scheme and it is anticipated that the work will be completed by February 2011.
This investment in Ballymonie Wastewater Treatment Works is just one example of the scale of investment required to improve wastewater services, meet European standards, respond to increasing demand and provide customers across Northern Ireland with a modern service.
This project is a working partnership between NI Water, Biwater Graham, RPS and MWH Consulting.
