If you are looking for a fun day out for all the family, old and young, then look no further than NI Water’s Silent Valley family fun day on Sunday 1st August. The event, which is exclusive to this summer only, is not to be missed. With activities ranging from a teddy bears picnic to a good old game of skittles, there is no better way to spend your Sunday.
The adventurous members of the family can take part in physical pursuits such as the Rollin Roc’ climbing tower and archery while those wishing to take a slower pace can browse the craft stalls or sit on the lawns and enjoy the jazz band. Arts and crafts are available to cater for the artistic family members, while true peace and tranquility can be found among the many hill walks and nature trails on offer.
NI Water’s External Communications Manager, Celine Rodgers, tells us of the excitement and fun to be had:
“The scale of activities we have organised for this fun day will ensure that there is something to suit everyone. Events include traditional arts and crafts, old fashioned children’s games such as skittles, and archery. Everyone’s favourites; face painting, balloon modeling and a circus workshop will also be available, as well as stalls selling jewellery, hand made cards, books and delicious edible goodies.
“We are looking forward to welcoming the public to this beautiful Mountain Park where they can enjoy the splendid mountain scenery, woodland walks, and a range of activities. Peace, solitude and adventure will all be on offer!”
Normal admission charges to Silent Valley will apply. All activities are free of charge. For more information please contact Waterline on 08457 440088.
