Sewer Improvement Work Gets Underway in Draperstown

26 November 2009 13:34

Northern Ireland Water (NI Water) is embarking on a major programme of work to upgrade the sewerage infrastructure in the Draperstown area. The work, which represents an investment of just under a million pounds, will commence on the St. Patrick’s Street and Derrynoyd Road areas of Draperstown in late November and is expected to last approximately 20 weeks. Other routes that will be affected are the Sixtowns Road and the junction of High Street and Tobermore Road.

As with any construction project of this scale, and in the interests of public safety, lane closures and traffic restrictions will be necessary and signage will be in place. NI Water appreciate that this may cause inconvenience for the public and would like to reassure local people that we will do everything we can to schedule the work around the busy Christmas period and complete this essential scheme as quickly as possible. NI Water would like to thank the public in advance of this work for their patience during this time.
