Sewer and water main Improvements Completed Ahead of Schedule

Northern Ireland Water (NI Water) is pleased to announce that essential improvement work to the water and sewerage infrastructure on North Road in Newtownards has been completed ahead of schedule.

The work, which represents an investment of £230,000 by NI Water, involved upgrading the existing water main and laying a new sewer. The project will facilitate future development in the area, reduce the number of disruptions to supply and contribute to improvements in the water quality of local watercourses.

Keith Haslett, Senior Project Manager at NI Water said:

“NI Water and our contractor O’Neill’s are delighted that we have completed this essential scheme ahead of schedule. NI Water is committed to providing a modern and effective sewerage system and this scheme will benefit the local community well into the 21st century.”
