This three-year Higher Level Scientific Apprenticeship is designed to provide you with real life, on the job experience, to help you develop new skills and gain the knowledge needed to enable you to build a successful career in NI Water.
Based within NI Water’s ISO accredited scientific laboratories, in Derry and Belfast we have opportunities for 4 HLAs (2 Derry & 2 Belfast). This programme will provide world class training and skills development in key disciplines of microbiology and chemistry. You’ll be part of a fantastic scientific team, using the latest technology in the field of analytical chemistry and microbiology.
You’ll take care of water quality tests essential for public health protection in Northern Ireland and get hands-on experience with sample preparation and analysis. You will gain practical experience and on the job training supported by a dedicated, experienced mentor with the opportunity to earn as you learn, completing a foundation degree, debt free, alongside continued professional development with a registered professional body.

This four-year Higher-Level Apprenticeship (HLA) within our financial technology team is designed to provide you with real life, on the job experience in cutting edge financial technology. Oracle financial solutions is used worldwide by leading financial institutions. You will have the opportunity to develop new skills and gain internationally recognized knowledge and experience.
You will get exposure to operations, logistics, business administration, project management, data analysis, cloud technology and business support.
You will gain insight into the heart of our business and understand how we operate through data modelling, extraction, and analysis. You will deliver reporting to the business around key critical data sets, such as, year-end accounts, supplier spend, workforce management & planning, absence management, inventory stores, asset costing and many more.

This 3-year Higher-Level Apprenticeship (HLA) within our Information and Data Management team is designed to provide you with real life, on the job experience in data protection, information access, records management, and open data. You will have the opportunity to learn how to prevent fraudulent activities, reduce risk and enable NI Water to respond quickly to threats.
NI Water’s Information Management Unit (IMU) provides information and a supporting framework to enable the business to effectively manage information in accordance with business and legislative requirements.
