Role Description
The Enhanced Craft Electrical Trainee (ECET) position is a transitional training role within our Mechanical and Electrical Services team which, subject to the successful completion of an intensive training programme, will enable the postholder to progress to the role of Enhanced Craft Grade (ECG) Multi-Skilled Electrician.
As part of NI Water’s award-winning team, successful applicants will have the opportunity to enhance their skills and experience through a tailored accelerated development programme. In these vital roles, candidates will support the safe and efficient operation of all electrical installations and assets across our treatment and pumping facilities, in the South and East Antrim and Armagh region, so that NI Water can continue to deliver the water and wastewater services upon which that we all rely on to thrive.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. Have a relevant National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) *Level 3 Apprenticeship in Electrical Installation
OR
Have a recognised **equivalent Craft-based electrical qualification (** this is expected to be associated with a 4-year Apprenticeship programme in electrical industrial, electrical maintenance or electromechanical discipline. Please note an Apprenticeship associated solely with Domestic Electrical Installations is not considered to be equivalent).
AND
2. Hold a current valid driving licence to enable you to fulfil your responsibilities.
3. Have a permanent residence 30 miles travelling distance by public road to the NI Water location specified in the area you are applying for, as set out below. This distance is measured using the RAC Route Planner from full postcode to full postcode via the ‘shortest route’ selection on the website;
